Update on Status of the CEQA/NEPA/TRPA Document

California State Parks, The US Bureau of Reclamation and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency have been working on preparing the draft EIR/EIS/EIS for the Upper Truckee River Restoration and Golf Course Reconfiguration Project. Five alternatives will be analyzed, but no preferred alternative has been selected. The

Public Draft is due to be released in late June or early July 2010, and will be available for public comment for 60 days. State Parks will send out another newsletter to announce availability of the document and timing of public meetings for comment on the draft EIR/EIS/EIS in the future.

Delays…

Due to public input and the need for additional studies, coupled with issues with the State of California Budget , the project schedule has been delayed. The draft EIR/EIS/EIS is due to be released in early November 2009, and will be available for public comment for 60 days. State Parks will send out another newsletter to announce availability of the document and timing of public meetings for comment on the draft EIR/EIS/EIS in the future.

Thanks to all who attended our site walks in summer of 2008. The recreation access maps from that field trip (which show trails) are also available on the website.
