A cross section along the Upper Truckee River showing the river bed and bank movement for a period of 13 years.
The right bank has suffered over 40' of lateral erosion within that time period. You can also see that the river has
formed into a split channel and has developed a mid-channel bar. This particular cross section is just downstream
of a narrow bridge and the erosion is affecting important infrastructure for the golf course. Temporary treatment
has been installed along this bank to impede the progress of erosion.
View is as if looking downstream
